The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a heat advisory beginning today Tuesday, August 18, 2020 in effect until 11 p.m. Wednesday August 19, 2020. Temperatures can range between 100 and 106.
Precautionary/Preparedness Actions include:
– Drink plenty of fluids
– Stay in an air-conditioned room
– Stay out of the sun
– Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside
– Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when possible
Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency call 9 1 1.
